Week 34

Week 34 Just at the moment, I think the mosquito could be called the National Bird of the Netherlands... ...but since 2015, the Grutto was voted as the National Bird The Black-tailed Godwit (Grutto) My usual boating interest - mainly because of the size of the project - and the cost! I can't find the total cost - but the article refers to the ADDED cost due to an enforced change of plans... The Julianakanaal between Berg aan de Maas and Born   Born is closed to all shipping as of today. Rijkswaterstaat is making the Limburg canal deeper and wider, so that larger ships can pass through it in the future.   Finally moved in to the "new" house... Early view from the front door 0615hrs First BBQ of 2024... Tjeerd and I had to figure out how to get the handles straight... ...and position the bed ...and the TV I still have to figure out how to install the washing machine and dryer and a wash trough - and  do it in keeping with the high standard of the rest of the house... The log fire also has to be re-installed - to the right of the TV. Hard to imagine at the moment that we will be lighting the fires again in September... So good to have Paul and Ben together - out to our "local" restaurant ...and suddenly Paul's 2 weeks' help was over - he left with Ben to go to Amsterdam - with a visit to Ben's club at Soho House - and a visit to an Ice Cream shop for Paul :) We have Kids' Weekend again - with two new young women joining the personnel list as part-timers. My Saturday Helper helped with removing weeds from the apartments courtyard - it had looked very n...
